The Kriek Cantillon 100% Lambic-Bio made with fresh morello cherries (200 gr/l) and real spontaneous fermentation lambic cannot be compared to any other beer. Its complex flavour and its sour taste make the beer unique and thirstquenching.

Beer with taste evolution.

Bright cherry coloured body with a pink coloured, bubbly-airy head that is quite small.
The aroma has sour cherries, musky oak and barnyard funk.
A very traditional tart and sourish taste of Lambic blended with faint and delicate cherries.
Super complex and no real sweetness from the cherries.
The crisp body has a nice dry finish. Truly a masterpiece from Cantillon.

Cantillon - Brewers of Belgium's most authentic lambic
The traditional Lambic is a beer whose spontaneous fermentation cannot be controlled entirely by the brewer.
Due to the influence of many factors, each time the taste and the aroma of the product is different.
In a lambic brewery, every bottling (about 50 each season at the Cantillon brewery) results in a beer with its own more or less complex taste.
These differences are one of the characteristics of the Gueuze, Kriek or Framboise.
The fermentation will change the primary taste of the product and the Kriek will be dominated by the character of the lambic.
The red colour will change into more oily shades.

This beautiful product should be drunk within the year, after it's bottling date. This is, however, a personal point of view.
Some customers, however, conserve their Kriek for a long time and like it that way.
Kriek is a traditional summer beer.
It is a very thirst-quenching beer which tastes deliciously with a big slice of brown bread with white cheese, radishes, onions and chives.

Years ago, people who drank Kriek in a pub were also given two lumps of sugar and a stoemper on a small plate.
With the stoemper, the customer could crush the sugar on the bottom of his glass and sweeten it in a natural way in order to eliminate the sour taste.
