Deep red-brown body with a creamy beige head.
A lovely nose of raisins, brown rum and caramel malts greet you up front. The very aromatic and perfumy smell is delightful and really pleasing. A wide range of rich flavours swim around. Roasted malts, vanilla, milk chocolate and notes of dark fruit all come to mind. Fully flavoured, yet a refreshing brew. High carbonation.
The finish is lightly bitter from some late hops.

Nicely balanced abbey dubbel, worth seeking out.
