A deep dark, mohogany-brown body with a lovely beige head.
A sweet bouquet of dark fruits and caramel malts greets you in the nose. Smooth tastes of raisin, wine and berries set in. Spices and lots of wonderful hops add to the level of complexity. This is the a real Belgian dark here.

Solid round mouthfeel with excellent drinkability and a fair bit of carbonation. The alcohol is warming and noticeable. The aftertaste is a longlasting dryness of grapes and herbs.
An interesting Belgian brew worth its reputation. Topfermentation and re-fermented in the bottle.
