Clear, reddish to dark brown body with a thin beige head that stays around.
Sweet aromas of caramel malts, chocolate and vanilla are dominant, also pleasant hints of brown rum and ripe forest fruit. The flavour is moderately sweet, but there's also a light spicyness underlying and that is helping to keep the balance. An overall good mouthfeel, medium bodied and the alcohol is covered well.
A nice brew from a fairly under-appreciated brewery and a good example for the style.
