Hazy amber brown body with a tall and lively white head, good lacing.

The nose is of hops, spicey herbs (rosemary) and grainy malts. Alongside malt, yeast, hops and water, Strubbe uses gruut.

Gruut is a mixture of herbs and is the pre-decessor of the hops today.

The flavour is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with an average to long duration, a light to moderate peppery - spicy burning finish.

Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
