An un-filtered straw coloured wheat beer with a healthy, white head. A lot of sediment in the bottle.
A very crisp and fresh aroma of orange peel, bitter lemon and coriander tinkle the nose.

The flavour is the freshness of fruit, without being too watery...

Some mild spices prop up in the middle, but the sourness and tart take over again. That gives the flavour a nice complexity. Medium bodied and moderate carbonation.
Dry aftertaste.

Overall, an easy drinkable and thirstquenching brew from a quality brewer. This witbier is brewed using 40 % of un-malted barley, instead of wheat.

Notice the label, Gerstebier, gerst means barley in Dutch. Topfermentation and re-fermented in the bottle.
