Nice golden ale with a big white head. Malty aroma, a bit peppery. Vanilla-maltiness and yeasty flavour. Low carbonation. A refreshing thirstquencher, well-made, full of flavour and a bitter aftertaste.
This beer was created to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the birth of Antony Van Dyk, official artist to the court of Charles I of England and one of Antwerps most famous sons.
In 2003 De Koninck Blond was awarded a Gold Medal in the Pale Blond Ale-category by an international panel of trade journalists.
De Koninck Brewery was founded in 1833 and has been bought by Duvel-Moortgat in 2010.
