Quatation by the beerhunter Michael Jackson : Brugse Zot has an almost iridescent pale bronze colour, a blossomy hops in the brewhouse aroma, a fruity palate, reminiscent of peach sorbet, and a light, appetising dryness in the finish.
Today, Brugse Zot is the one and only beer really brewed in the historical towncenter of Bruges.
The International Institute of Quality awarded Brugse Zot with a Gold Medal in the Pale Ale classification.

Brugse Zot (fool of Bruges) refers to the nickname given by the Emperor Maximilian to the inhabitants of Bruges during Austrian rule of Belgium.
