Corked. Golden shining 'living' abbey beer with a thick, soapy white head. Smells like ripe fruit, bananas and juniper. Softness in the mouth. Initially, the flavour is spicy, but gives way to a mildly and hoppy and lasting aftertaste. Re-fermented in the bottle. Hartwarming, interesting tripel from het Meetjesland, East-Flanders.
A Triple used to be reserved for the Bishop or for Father Abbot. And you can bet they knew a good thing when they tasted it.
